Every Monday at 5:00 P.M. ET, Care Baldwin shares a Monday Motivation quote on the Drive with Care. This week, she reminds us that doing God's work can lead to exhaustion if you aren't prioritizing a relationship with Him.
"YOU'RE NO HELP TO ANYONE IF YOU'RE UNCONSCIOUS!"

If you don't look after yourself, get burnt out and lose your sense of purpose, how can you effectively help others?
I was on a plane recently and was reminded that "should the cabin pressure drop, please place the oxygen mask over your own nose and mouth before assisting others".
When I was leading worship every Sunday, planning service, running rehearsals, doing radio events, and having ministry meetings, I would end the day feeling like I had done enough for God and was too tired to spend time WITH God.
There are many of us who are doing so much work for God and the church that they aren't looking after themselves. Same goes for being a parent... If you’re not taking care of your own mental and physical wellbeing, you can’t be an effective parent.... because suddenly, the oxygen level drops and you're exhausted and struggling to breathe.
If you want to do God's work you need to prioritize your OWN relationship with God before you have enough to offer anyone else.... 'cause you're no help to ANYONE if you're unconscious!
