If this time-change is affecting you, listen to this...
This is the hardest time for people: the days are dark, the vibrant colourful leaves have fallen and are brown, the last of the fields are being harvested, And we can see the beginning of barrenness. But I feel like this is when we can have the most hope! This is all part of the plan.
Like going on mat leave when your social and work lives disappear for the forseeable future and you feel like you’ll lose your identity in the long nights and fed-is-best struggles. I needed that time to just BE, and also to establish routines and lay down some ground work. Now that my kids are past newborn, I have found other mom friends and am doing my best finding balance as a working parent.
I know it can be frightening entering a season when everything falls away. It’s the pruning back, dying off and letting go in Fall that prepares nourishment to the ground for Spring.
The impermanent seasons in life make way for a flourishing future. There would be no Spring without Fall.
