Players like Brock Purdy know that their value & worth is not in wearing a championship ring, it's not even in being one of the best players in the NFL . He became first quarterback in a season that led the 49ers to the Super Bowl when two years prior he was last pick. He could have decided back then he wasn't worthy of being a champion, or after such quick success he could have put his worth in his rise to the top, but he says he finds peace in the knowledge that his value & worth is not tied up in the outcome of any given play, regardless of the stakes.
Some may say “yeah, he feels that way after losing”... Exactly! Knowing his worth is not affected by performance means when he DOES score, it doesn't get to his head. Knowing who you are isn't defined by worldly success. How do you define your worth?
