Today’s Monday Motivation is "It's much more fun to give while you are alive than to give when you are dead." It wasn’t just said by renowned entrepreneur and philanthropist "Chuck" Feeney, he lived it! He selflessly dedicated his entire personal fortune to global causes during his lifetime, one of the Top 10 most philanthropic people ever! He just died last month at age 92.
Bill Gates hailed him as the "ultimate example of giving while living."
Feeney's humble beginnings during the Great Depression, growing up with Irish American parents who instilled strong values and a strong work ethic, never left him, even as he achieved great success in the business world as the co-founder of Duty Free Shops.
We have been blessed by many people who wanted to be around to see our joy and gratitude. Generosity is an attitude, a heart-posture/a way of life. It's not about dollars and cents.
So while Cyber Monday and Black Friday support the economy but tomorrow is Giving Tuesday and it's a time to support the community through the Charities you care about.
