Store Your Memories In A Jar

masonjarMason jars can be used for more than just storing jams and dried goods! A popular trend nowadays is to take a mason jar, and fill it with memories written on little pieces of paper. After a year of making memories, you empty the jar and read over all the awesome memories you made. That is one way to fill up your mason jar, but there are so many other ways you can spin this idea. Here are a few ideas for your next memory jar!

- Blessings Jar: On a daily basis, or whenever the Lord blesses you in a significant way, write it down and put it in the jar. After a year goes by, look through all of the slips and remember all the ways God has blessed you that year.

- Faithfulness Jar: The Lord answers our prayers, but at times it's easy to forget how truly faithful God is. Write down the ways God has been faithful to you and put them in the jar. When you're having doubts or struggling to trust God, go through your jar!

- Gratitude Jar: Every day, write something you are grateful for and add it to the jar. Expressing gratitude can help us feel more positive emotions, improve our overall wellbeing, and strengthen our relationships.

- "I Am" Jar: Everyday, write something positive about who you are and put it in the jar. Using positive words when speaking to or about yourself can have a positive impact on your mental health. (As discussed on Monday's episode of Life Transformations, with Ottawa Christian Counsellor Michael Hart, where he provided 5 tips on how to use positive words to improve your mental health).
