M. Evangeline Anderson shares the essence of her extraordinary testimony through narrative, poetry, and song. The author came into the world monocular due to birth trauma, and her life has been threatened by asthma since her youth. Despite growing up as a sickly child and accepting the harsh possibility that she would die young, the author’s life has been infinitely enriched and transformed by knowing God. Throughout the text, the author also proudly highlights the movement of God in her native country of Jamaica.
“This book shows how God, through His word, makes winners out of losers!” states the author. “An ordinary Jamaican black girl, born partially blind, grows up severely asthmatic, isolated by illness but impacted by the Bible, accepts the lordship of Jesus Christ at age twenty-three and gains a new life—victorious, productive, and rewarding.”
M. Evangeline Anderson lives in Canada with her husband, Michael, and spends as much time as possible in their native Jamaica. With five grown children and several grandchildren, they are now empty nesters. After decades in the field of education, most recently with the Ontario College of Teachers, Evangeline now combines inspirational writing with work as a member of the Canadian Institute of Access and Privacy Professionals.
