When we last read about Paige and Erin Forrester in Spotlight, the fourth book in Melody Carlson's popular On the Runway series, the fashion-forward sisters were jet-setting to London after their hit reality show had become a global phenomenon.
In the eagerly anticipated follow-up, GLAMOUR, Paige's announcement of her engagement to designer Dylan Marceau shocks the fashion world, sending the already aggressive paparazzi into further frenzy. But amid the hoopla, Erin wonders whether Paige really found true love or whether this is all a show for the cameras. Meanwhile, Erin is beginning to feel pressure from Blake to take their friendship to a more romantic level, and questions whether she is ready for that jump or whether she even wants it.
As the sisters prepare for a trip to film in the Bahamas, they learn that paradise isn't all it's cracked up to be—the calm, clear blue waters of the ocean can't prevent the threatening drama that will follow them across continents and may even put the future of their show on the line. Erin and Paige find out that sometimes it's hard to do the right thing when the wrong things keep happening—especially in a business that often encourages the worst.
Readers won't be able to put down this latest addition to Carlson's widely popular teen series. Mixing drama with laughter and fashion with girlish charm, GLAMOUR has something that every teen girl can relate to and aspire to become.
