The film tells the stories of nine extraordinary young girls from nine different countries (Sierra Leone, Haiti, Ethiopia, Afghanistan, Peru, Egypt, Nepal, India, and Cambodia), all born into unforgiving circumstances, while exploring the vital role education can play in changing their story. Each of the nine girls featured in the film had her story written by a writer from the same country as she, and all of their stories reflect their struggles and triuphs to overcome societal or cultural barriers to go to school.

justinreevesAbout Justin Reeves, Director of NGO Partnerships:
Justin Reeves joined DocGroup in 2010 after returning from six years working with grassroots NGO's in Latin America. He has worked both as a journalist and in communications for NGO's throughout Ecuador, Argentina and Chile. While pursuing his Master's degree in Chile, he focused his humanitarian work on women and children living with HIV/AIDS and his production work on women marginalized by mental illness.
Joining forces with 10×10 could not align better with his vision that empowering and educating girls and women is the key to a more harmonious world.
