Our society is messed up right now. All this political stuff. It’s not healthy. Friendships are being hurt over politicians who don’t even know your name. You can have differing political views and still treat each other with kindness and respect. I mean, we do have MORE to talk about.
Our natural human instinct is to love your neighbour and hate your enemy, but Jesus radically taught: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
He goes as far as to suggest “Whoever forces you to go one mile, go with him two.... ”
Don’t JUST pray for them, bless them. Wish good things for them; show them unexplainable kindness; and remember what best-selling author Bob Goff said “Every time I wonder who I should love and for how long I should love them, God continues to whisper to me: Everybody, always.”
