Bluesfest 2012

rbc_bluesfest2012_smWho are YOU most excited to see at Bluesfest this year??

I love that we have an opportunity to shine God's light in the second largest Blues music festival in North America! We have a full stage dedicated to Christian music and all the bands this year are amazing! Like every year, we'll have people wander over from other stages wondering where the great music is coming from.

So are you most excited for one particular artists on The Black Sheep Stage on Saturday, July 7th?

...Maybe it's the Canadian, award-winning group The City Harmonic (who's hit single 'Manifesto' has sold over 100,000 copies while the music video has been viewed more than 1.5 million times on YouTube!)

or North Carolina's Building 429 (who won audiences opening for Peter Furler last fall)

or maybe you're interested in some local talent from Scott Towaij and band, or the Quebec Celebration Gospel Choir (have you seen these folks live? ENERGY!)

Newworldson has become an Ottawa favourite.. (CHRI was the first Canadian radio station to play them), they've been to Bluesfest in the past but are returning with new music.. and you won't be able to keep you eyes off them!

And then, of course, there's JUNO-awards winners Downhere. Marc Martel is fresh off his Queen Extraveganza Tour, the guys have new music, and they're headlining!!

Maybe you're not familiar with any of these bands and just want to be around Christians, outside, with great music.. you're more than welcome! That's how we find out about new bands.

If you ask me.. I'm excited for ALL the acts this year.. but since I've seen a few of them live [several] times before, I would have to choose The City Harmonic (if I had to pick just one!).. These guys have brilliant instrumentation and according to some live videos I've seen, they put on a great show.

But who ever you're most looking forward to seeing, $30.00 even just for ONE of these bands, is a normal price. The RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest is almost getting ripped off with tickets being so low for us! :)

Let's represent well, and not miss out. If you still want to get your wristband for the day at $30, Salem Storehouse has them until Saturday only (both locations). They're only open until 9:00pm tonight (Friday) and until 6:00pm Saturday then that's it.. They're getting pulled from the store - I know you can call Salem (613-727-0203) and pay for them over the phone with credit card if you can't make it in this weekend!

Have a gret Canada Day weekend.. and I'm so looking forward to fellowshipping with you next weekend!
