Background Information
A seasoned minister with over two decades of dedicated service in full-time ministry, Pastor Kim joined the Safe Families Canada (SFC) movement in 2019 where she served as Chapter Director in the nation’s capital before transitioning to her role as the National Director of Operations.
SFC hosts vulnerable children and creates extended family-like supports through a community of devoted volunteers, motivated by faith, to keep children safe and families together. SFC has 15 active, thriving Chapters across Canada with 5 more in development launching in 2024. With an extensive background in education, having served as both a teacher and vice-principal, Kim’s journey has been marked by a steadfast commitment to nurturing the well-being of children and families.
Kim’s professional journey includes the founding of an adoption ministry, Destiny Adoption Services, facilitating the creation of forever families in Ontario. Her passion and empathy extend to providing specialized birth parent counseling for birthparents choosing adoption, offering support, guidance and compassionate care.
In her role as National Director of Operations, Kim brings her wealth of leadership development, experience, unwavering dedication, and deep understanding of family dynamics. SFC’s values are radical hospitality, disruptive generosity and compassion fueled by mercy. SFC is well-positioned to continue its mission to be a beacon of hope, compassion, and support for families across the nation.
In her spare time, Kim can be found recharging in nature with her husband and three children as well as coaching fitness classes at her local GoodLife.
