Henry Ford, founder of Ford Motor Company, said “Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young.” It’s Care with a Monday Motivation to start your week.
New research came out that found people aged 65 and older who have a positive outlook on ageing have a much greater chance of recovering from mild cognitive impairment, such as memory loss and thinking problems. This isn’t surprising to me. To hear that those who stop exercising their mind start to lose it.
No matter what age, we have to constantly stretch our minds and stay interested in what we can do and achieve in the future. To stay young and keep our minds young we have to keep trying new things and taking in new information. I don’t know everything now and I certainly won’t know everything by the time I’m in my 80’s! The world is always changing and so we should be always learning. Starting to feel useless as you age is the wrong attitude to have and will only make you age quicker: yet believing you have more to learn, think, and do... that'll keep you young!
