'Massive' Rise in Ottawa Church Attendance

church revival 330The resurgence of church-goers, especially among young people, isn’t just an American trend, it’s happening in Ottawa too.

This is something we have already been noticing, but a local journalist is affirming that Ottawa churches are experiencing it too! “Seniors, including baby boomers and Generation X, have largely maintained their strong participation, church leaders are saying, but the latest increase in church attendance is in the generation between the ages of 18 and 35.

An article (written by Sarah MacFarlane-Youngdale of The Ottawa Lookout) cites research from Barna Group and quotes leaders of a number of local congregations like Vineyard Church, The Met, Knox Presbyterian Church, Trinity Anglican Parish and others, to bring encouragement to the faith community.
